Welcome to the second series of the Monday Manifest Series! It's wonderful to have you here as we continue our journey of co-creating and manifesting our dreams. In this series, we will dive deeper into the practice of manifestation and explore the power of making manifesting a collective experience. Manifestation is not just an individual endeavor; it becomes even more powerful when we come together as a community, supporting and inspiring one another along the way. By joining forces, we amplify our manifestation energy and create a space where dreams become reality. Today, I invite you to join me in harnessing the power of collective manifestation. Take a moment to reflect on the dreams and desires you have been manifesting in your own life. What are the intentions and goals you are working towards? What visions do you hold in your heart? Now, let's take this journey of manifestation together. In the comments section below, I encourage you to share what you are currently...
Lord buddha's birthday is celebrated on the days 26th of month of may.
It is a special and a holy day for Buddhists and celebrated grandly in most of Asian countries, including china, Burma, nepal, Thailand and Sri Lanka etc. There is a special story regarding this holy day. It is the story of prince siddhartha Gauthama which is obviously fascinating. A link will be shared at the end of this post about prince siddhartha (lord budha).
Festival vesak(lord buddha's birthday and his enlightenment ) is celebrated grandly.
Here, in sri lanka, you can see that every street would be decorated with fairy lights, lanterns hanging from each and every tree, big pandols created with glowing lights which convey an ancient morality stories with pictures, craft exhibitions related to vesak lanterns stage dramas performed on every main road and oil lamps ligted everywhere. Gas lanterns are sent to the sky
.
At night people would storm down the streets to watch these splendid decorations and the big lanterns which are kept in exhibition on sides of the road. Some People get together and sponsor for free food for everybody who passes by the streets. These type of free distribution would be throughout the streets. Some may distribute ice cream while some may do drinks, like wise their would be lots of food varities. You can help yourself as much as you want. Nobody would say anything. It is really fun to stay in queue and get free icecream. Many people, rich or poor would participate. Theres no cast and creed considered to engage in these activities. Either you are rich or you are poor, it doesnt matter which religion your coming from, you can participate and share happiness and enjoy this day. Everybody is treated equally.
Not only the roads, all the house are decorated too. Decorative lights would hang down from the roof and balconies. Handmade lanterns made by children would be hanging in roof. Trees filled with bulbs and lanterns buckets. Oil lamps lit all around the garden.
People go to temple to worship.
It gives cozy and inspiring vibes to watch these. I love this beautiful day.
Unfortunately, we could not celebrate vesak this time due to the pendamic. Safety comes first. People storming on the streets at a time like this is definitely not a good idea. Thats a reason because the government had summoned for a lockdown these days throughout the island.
Hope everything would be hundred percent fine for next years vesak.
Until that wear mask, stay home and stay safe.
THANK YOU FOR READING.
