Welcome to the second series of the Monday Manifest Series! It's wonderful to have you here as we continue our journey of co-creating and manifesting our dreams. In this series, we will dive deeper into the practice of manifestation and explore the power of making manifesting a collective experience. Manifestation is not just an individual endeavor; it becomes even more powerful when we come together as a community, supporting and inspiring one another along the way. By joining forces, we amplify our manifestation energy and create a space where dreams become reality. Today, I invite you to join me in harnessing the power of collective manifestation. Take a moment to reflect on the dreams and desires you have been manifesting in your own life. What are the intentions and goals you are working towards? What visions do you hold in your heart? Now, let's take this journey of manifestation together. In the comments section below, I encourage you to share what you are currently...
Hello everyone! I'm Ariana Evanz, a blogger, crochet designer and a dress maker.
I inherited crochet skills from my paternal grandmother. When people asked me, when did you start crochet, I would say, eight. Often it left their jaw dropped. Some may not even beleive.
When I was eight, I would come home after school and see my grandma crocheting carpets. I still remember how she make the diy yarn out of left out materials after my aunt finished sewing dresses.
That was the moment I got inspired in crocheting. The finished carpet gave an amazing texture. Neat and tidy! It was really wonderful that nobody would beleive that an old lady could make it so neat. All the carpets she made were gifted among the relatives.
I accepted happily.
From the very first time, I did it all correct. Encouragement from my grandfather, grandmother and my aunt and my brothers inspired me so much.
Then onwards it's my paternal aunt who would bring me colourful yarn from the store when ever she goes shopping.
Now Coming back to 2021.
I could crochet anything out of yarn. Name anything? I would do that.
Most of the time I end up making patterns for something new. A large soft toy or a top or bag! Anything! Many craft stores would reach out for me to make patterns for something new. I enjoy working as a crochet designer.
How to start crochet.
It's so simple that if a 8 year old little girl can crochet, you also can.
Next what ?
Tuotions? Courses or online classes? NO!
Go to youtube. Their are many basic tutorials which are pretty much easy to learn.
Start learning with :
• How to hold the hook and the yarn
• Make a slip know
• Chain.
Basically, these are the first steps you must know. All three steps would come in the same video. It doesn't take much time to catch up with lesson 1. Lesson 1 is about making the foundation chain.
Given below are some of the basic abbreviations.
Ch - chain
Sl st - slip stitch
Sc - single crochet
DC - double crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
Trc - treble crochet.
MR - magic ring
These are just examples. There are many more abbreviations you must know.
Anyhow SC would come and 1 lesson, DC would come under another lesson and so on....
If you know these basics, which means you are ready to start big projects.
Start making blankets, hats, bags, tops etc.
Learn how to follow written patterns.
Following written patterns is easy if you know the abbreviations.
Hope this blog helped you.
